Training – Southern Theatre Arts centre, BA Hons, ALCM, Estill 1 & 2

Teaching – Musical Theatre Vocal Techniques, Choral Work and Musical Direction, Music Theory, Vocal Portfolio Work

 

Matthew is originally from Cornwall but moved to Sussex to study a B.A. Hons Degree in Musical Theatre. Along with this course, he has had extensive training in vocals and has become an Associate to the London College of Music. Matthew has performed / Musically directed shows in many theatres throughout the country and has been Musical Director for 5 local Theatre companies.

Matthew co-founded Kompact Theatre working in collaboration with Broadway and British contemporary composers to showcase their work and hold workshops. Matthew has been lucky enough to accompany workshops with Natalie Weiss, Carner & Gregor, Chloe Hart, Rob Rokicki, Amanda Flynn & others

Matthew also co-founded Live It Productions, a charity event company that has helped to raise thousands for various cancer charities and Special Care Baby Units since 2009.

He is excited about his role at MET MT where he can pass on some of his experiences and techniques to the next generation and get them to be as enthusiastic with singing as he is.
